This is where we get NERDY...
(Warning, this page is long and informative.)
Our marketing philosophy is based on chronology and the leverage of time and money. Almost every business starts off as a one man shop with very little capital to work with, a great idea, and a lot of free time. Some businesses do have more of one of those factors to start with, but that really doesnt matter (you just progress more quickly).
To make this easier, take a look at our timeline...
When you Start your business, you have nothing but an idea. We can help from the very start. Depending on what your dream is, we can help you create it. The first step is taking your idea, and building a brand identity out of it. What many people do not realize is that the "brand" comes from the old Norse word "brandr" meaning, "to burn". The term eventually came to define the symbol that a ranch would forge into a iron stamp, heat extensively, and burn on cattle to signify ownership. After a period of time, some people ended up seeing a certain brand of cattle as inferior, and some as superior, creating an identifiable image that would hold their opinions on quality, service, etc.
The symbol you use will last until your business dies, make sure it get's the job done
Stage One: Start Up
Once the brand is created, you then need to start work on getting yourself out into the world, and creating work. You most likely have a lot of time on your hands, and not much money, so you need to lean on that time, and save all the money you can. The different opportunities that you have at the beginning are techniques like cold calling, networking, and craigslist ads. There are more services you can utilize at the same cost bracket, but you can check our FAQ page, and click services we provide, or situational pages to see what we would do for your specific company for that. Or just head into our forum and ask some questions.
Stage One Summary Steps
Stage Two: Building Steam
You now have the basics: A good brand, leads coming from some referral sources, a website that produces from your self created traffic, and a facebook page to engage your audience. Now, it is time to take your marketing to the next level. It is time to start leveraging the money you are making, and have it work FOR YOU, instead of you FOR MONEY. The next step is to market that website using some higher level marketing technology. Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising is the first step in making money online. It gives you a good idea of what keywords produce income for you, and gives you a solid idea of the opportunity online for your industry. PPC, just for your information, can include banner ads, google adwords, yahoo adcenter, and any other clickable ad-type-thingy (a technical term) on the web.
Next, you start a process of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to get your website to the top of specific terms that produce Leads for you. This will start the creation of your dreams, this stage will get you on your way to the top. if you are doing good work, making clients happy, and working hard, you will see success.
After you get your little site to the top, you need to work on getting more sophisticated. You need to re-create that little website into a conversion machine, so a re-design to a custom, top of the line website is necessary. This will allow you to run experiments in conversion optimization, which can be defined as making tweaks to your website in a scientific fashion to increase the ration between leads and website visits.
